Job Position
We are seeking Aviation Protection Officers to join our team at Devonport Airport. In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport operations.
Duties
* Conduct security screening for passengers, staff and visitors.
* Operate security technology and systems, including metal detectors, X‐ray machines and explosive trace detection tests to identify potential risks or prohibited items.
* Perform scans and thorough bag searches when necessary to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.
* Monitor and patrol airport premises.
* Provide a high standard of customer service to passengers, staff and visitors.
Requirements
* Full Australian working rights.
* Ability to obtain an ASIC.
* Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).
* Strong customer service skills.
* Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
