About the Opportunity
As the Executive Manager Environment, you'll lead strategic environmental initiatives, shape city infrastructure and contribute significantly to the vibrant community of Palmerston. You will lead a dedicated team overseeing open space and land management, environment and waste management and capital projects. Your role will contribute to the overall culture of the organisation by promoting cooperation, collaboration and coordination between departments
The role reports directly to the General Manager Infrastructure with responsibility of providing strategic and innovative leadership, identifying and delivering projects aligned with the City of Palmerston Community Plan and ensuring compliance with council policies and plans related to the environment
About you
To succeed in this role. you will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Management /Engineering ,with a minimum of seven years relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience in working effectively with government, community, and industry is essential along with strong leadership skills and experience managing diverse teams.
