About The Role
As the Youth Support Coordinator you will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide targeted support, remove barriers to learning, and foster a safe, inclusive, and connected school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Build relationships with families of disengaged students to provide early intervention
* Follow up on student wellbeing referrals for all year levels in consultation with the Guidance Officers
* Monitor student attendance/truancy and provide early intervention through stakeholders
* Organise and facilitate lunchtime activities
* Develop and deliver programs that support students' social and emotional wellbeing across all year levels
* Facilitate student check‑ins
* Provide in‑class support
* Present at year level assemblies
* Refer students and families to external support agencies
* Be a visible presence during break times by interacting with students
* Other duties consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed
