We are seeking a Principal Finance Officer to lead a team that provides financial management services within our IT business unit, Information Technology Partners (ITP). ITP delivers IT and information management services to 7 government agencies. You will have the opportunity to lead one or more sub functions of financial business partner services, accounts payment and accounts receivable, ICT purchasing and ICT asset management. You will have opportunity to challenge the status quo and make improvements to ensure long term financial sustainability of the business.
As Our Principal Finance Officer, You Will
* Lead a team in the delivery of high-quality finance, ICT purchasing and/or ICT asset management services ensuring service standards are consistently met.
* Collaborate and maintain professional partnerships with a range of internal and external government and industry stakeholders.
* Understand underlying partnership business goals, key business drivers for financial performance with a focus on managing financial risk, costs optimisation, improving revenues and business performance.
* Contribute to the preparation of the ITP annual budget process, forecast processes and ensure the integrity and accuracy of reporting requirements.
* Monitor and analyse revenue, expenditure, and activity trends through key performance indicators to support decision-making.
* Oversee the asset management process, including capitalisation, depreciation, asset re-living, and revaluation, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting.
* Prepare and present financial and budget reports, proposals and briefings on matters related to the use of information technology to support business needs.
* Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous review of financial models, cost recovery systems and process improvements to support effective financial governance including automation and efficiency initiatives.
* Provide expert business-focussed and timely advice, intelligence and analysis on ITP financial business operations including key strategic, operational and emergent issues.
* Effectively manage and provide leadership, supervision, and support to staff so that all members of the team receive professional development, are appropriately skilled and deliver required outcomes.
* Foster and role-model a work environment that values performance, improvement, innovation and outcomes and knowledge sharing within ITP.
