Mental Health Ambulance Police Program Clinician – NSW Health

Location: Illawarra Community Mental Health Service.
Employment type: Temporary Full Time.
Salary: 116,************,****** per annum + 12% super and salary packaging.

Position classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1, Occupational Therapist Level 3, or Social Worker Level 3.
This is a temporary leave relief position until 31 May **** with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
The MHAPP clinician will provide a highly mobile, recovery orientated clinical assessment, consultancy and support to NSW Ambulance and Police managing mental health related cases in the community.
Lead in trialing virtual assessment of consumers in the community who are geographically isolated, providing clinical leadership.
Work with NSW Ambulance and Police to provide mental health triage, primary client assessment and management of complex mental health emergencies and crises at an advanced level.
Utilise extensive knowledge of mental health disorders to provide support, treatment, coordination and education to emergency services who work with consumers with complex mental and physical health needs.
Position may be based in multiple locations for shifts, including Nowra and Oak Flats.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role
Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse/Occupational Therapist)
Nursing candidates must have a minimum of five years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and relevant post-registration nursing/midwifery qualifications or equivalent
Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Valid NSW Driver's Licence
