Job Title: Sales Assistant
About the Role
Sales Assistants provide exceptional customer service, offering advice and product solutions to both trade and retail customers. They are responsible for tinting paint products to meet customer requirements, managing inventory levels, including receiving goods and conducting stock takes.
They take orders in-store and via phone, replenish stock including 15L paint drums, and build strong relationships with repeat customers and colleagues.
To ensure excellent service delivery, they must stay up-to-date with the latest colour forecasts and product releases. Furthermore, they assist with visual displays, store presentation, and housekeeping, while adhering to safe work practices.
About You
Applicants should possess a driver's licence for local deliveries. Strong communication skills are essential for effective customer interaction. A genuine desire to deliver outstanding service is vital, as is previous experience working in a customer service role.
Candidates should also have experience with stock handling and merchandising, and be capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting 15L cans of paint. Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge or technical aptitude is beneficial, as is numeracy skills sufficient to perform POS transactions and comprehend tint percentages/ratios.
The ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions and work effectively unsupervised, possessing problem-solving skills and the ability to use Microsoft office and outlook efficiently.
