About the Opportunity
We are looking for creative, fun and energetic Early Childhood Educators / Teachers to help guide little minds through their first years of learning.
Glenelg Shire Council operates six services across the Shire, including the Katheleen Millikan Centre (Casterton), Karreeta Peeneeyt Mara Portland Child and Family Complex, Heywood Kindergarten, Dartmoor Children's Services, Kalbarri Kindergarten and Jaycee Kindergarten.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate learning plans and activities for children aged 8 weeks to kindergarten.
Support children's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development through secure, safe and inclusive environments.
Collaborate with co-workers, families and community partners to promote child wellbeing.
Maintain accurate record-keeping and progress monitoring in line with the National Quality Framework.
Participate in training, supervision and continuous professional development.
What You Need to Succeed
A genuine understanding and desire to work with children aged 8 weeks to kindergarten.
Positive outlook, team spirit and strong communication skills.
Cert III, Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (working toward Cert III may be considered).
Current First Aid qualification HLTAID012.
Knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
Some experience working with children and families.
Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with all staff.
Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to the workplace.

Service: Karreeta Peeneeyt Mara Portland Child & Family Complex – 1 × Part-time (32 h/week, Mon-Tue-Wed-Fri – 8 h/day) and 1 × Part-time (32 h/week, Mon-Tue-Thu-Fri – 8 h/day) and 1 × Part-time (8 h/week, Mon)
Service: Kathleen Millikan Centre (Casterton) – 1 × Part-time (32 h/week, Mon-Tue-Wed-Thu – 8 h/day), 1 × Part-time (16 h/week, Tue-Thu – 8 h/day) & 1 × Part-time (8 h/week, Fri)
