We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Apprentice to join our Fleet Management Team, who are eager to guide you through your journey of successfully completing a Certificate III Engineering Fixed & Mobile Plant Mechanic.
What You Will Do:
As an Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will assist Councils Fleet Team in the repair, service and maintenance of Council's vehicle fleet, plant and mobile equipment, while maintaining up to date records on all work undertaken each day. You will assist in the fit out of commissioning and decommissioning of fleet assets, ordering and collection of material and parts from suppliers, while maintaining excellent customer service and to actively work to solve customer problems.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum of Year 10 completion.
Sound language, literacy and numeracy skills to enable successful completion of a Cert III Engineering Fixed & Mobile Plant Mechanic.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and take direction.
Awareness of Workplace Health & Safety systems and applications.
Customer service focus and awareness.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
Mechanical aptitude is highly regarded (E.g. Studied ITD, or completed a Certificate II level Engineering course, or experience as a Tradesperson’s Assistant).
