About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Commis Chef to work on a Full Time basis within a tight‐knit team. You'll be working alongside chefs with years of knowledge to further develop your skillset.
Qualifications
* Qualified with a minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery
* Food Safety Hygiene qualification
Key Responsibilities
* Working in a busy venue with a highly skilled team
* Keeping a sharp attention to detail
* Ensure that food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are carried out according to established recipes and standards.
* Utilise your creative expertise in cookery to produce high quality meals for customers.
* Assist in the training of other chefs/apprentices/trainees to encourage excellent quality and production of menu items.
* Monitor food quality and ensure policies and hygiene standards are maintained, reporting any deviations to the Head Chef
* Promote safe work practices in the kitchen
* Liaise with Sous Chef, Chef D'Partie, Head Chef regarding workflow requirements.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience in a multi-faceted kitchen
* Familiarity with the Food Safety Act
* Time Management skills is a must
* Ability to work well under pressure
