Role Description
The Corporate Finance Analyst is an exciting opportunity in our Corporate Financial Control team based at our Perth Central Park office. This role supports Synergy's corporate finance capability across a complex, regulated energy environment. It offers exposure to high-impact financial activities that underpin the organisation's stability, resilience, and long-term strategic objectives. The role operates at the centre of the business, working closely with senior finance leaders, internal stakeholders across Wholesale and Customer Business Units, and external partners including regulators and financial counterparties. It provides an opportunity to develop depth across treasury, insurance, and governance disciplines while gaining insight into how financial stewardship supports the broader energy market and renewable transition. This position offers meaningful commercial exposure and analytical rigor within a purpose-led organisation. It is well suited to someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and is motivated by contributing to outcomes that support sustainable energy solutions and long-term value creation.
Job Responsibilities
* Support treasury activities including cashflow forecasting, liquidity management, foreign exchange risk management, project due diligence, and compliance with treasury governance frameworks.
* Assist with insurance program activities, including annual insurance placements, claims management, broker liaison, and preparation of materials for senior leadership and Board committees.
* Support governance and compliance obligations across wholesale energy trading, including renewable energy certificate strategies, regulatory reporting, and management of online regulatory registers.
* Prepare and maintain financial models, reports, and documentation to support internal committees with executive and board representation, and external regulatory requirements.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across Finance, Wholesale and Customer Business Units, and external parties such as government regulators, insurers, and financial institutions.
What You Will Bring
* A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications such as CA or CPA are highly regarded).
* Strong Excel financial modelling skills and familiarity with SAP for financial transactions and reporting.
* Exposure to treasury operations, insurance processes, or corporate finance, ideally gained in a corporate, banking, consulting, or insurance environment.
* A working knowledge of energy trading market rules and renewable energy legislation is advantageous but not required.
* Strong analytical / critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
