We are seeking a highly motivated and engaging individual who can bring phonics, reading, and foundational maths to life while building strong connections with our students. If you have a passion for early literacy and numeracy, and enjoy helping children take their first steps into the world of reading and maths, we would love to hear from you.
Your primary responsibility will be to tutor students using our proven methodologies and individually customised learning programmes. You will work closely with early learners, helping them build foundational literacy skills that will shape their educational journey.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Tutor English and math to a group of 3 to 4 students per session
* Teach students using our established methodology
* Tutor students in a positive, caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
* Use our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct lessons, saving you time on prep
* Develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents through your strong rapport-building skills
* Keep accurate records of student progress and goals online, on a weekly basis
* Provide verbal and written feedback to parents
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* A tertiary qualification in teaching or education (or similar)
* A current Working with Children Check
* A friendly, professional, and personable manner
* A love for early literacy and a warm, encouraging teaching style
* Confident use of computers and online learning platforms
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Organisation, reliability, and commitment to student success

HOURS OF WORK:
We teach students after school on weekdays and Saturday morning.
Monday - Thursday
Lesson 1: 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Lesson 2: 4:40pm - 5:40pm
Lesson 3: 5:50pm - 6:50pm
Saturday
Lesson 1: 9am - 10am
Lesson 2: 10:10am - 11:10am
The ideal candidate will be available at least two days per week, including Saturday.
