About The Role
A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Graduate or Mid-Level Contaminated Land Management (CLM) Consultant to join their Melbourne office. This is a permanent role offering exposure to a wide variety of contaminated land projects, from site assessments to remediation planning. You will work within a collaborative technical team, gaining hands-on experience in fieldwork, regulatory compliance, and environmental reporting. Key Responsibilities
Conduct technical investigations and assessments for contaminated land projects
Assist with the development of remediation strategies and management plans
Prepare high-quality technical reports and deliverables for clients
Undertake fieldwork, including soil, groundwater, and vapour sampling
Support regulatory submissions and environmental compliance
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulators
Contribute to continuous improvement of internal CLM processes
Skills & Experience (Graduate / Mid-Level)
Essential
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline
Some relevant experience (internship, graduate role, or 1–3 years in environmental consulting)
Knowledge of contaminated land assessment techniques and environmental sampling
Strong technical writing and data interpretation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Valid driver's licence for site visits
Desirable
Experience in remediation planning
Familiarity with Australian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
Experience with GIS or environmental data software
Understanding of risk-based land management
