The Operations Manager is a critical role at the University of Tasmania, providing leadership to the state-wide technical team and ensuring efficient, safe, and professional delivery of research and teaching infrastructure and programs.
This position requires a proactive, solutions-focused leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills, operational planning experience, and ability to manage competing priorities.
* Lead and manage teams, ensuring safe, efficient, effective and high-quality delivery of teaching, research and field programs across the state.
* Promote and maintain a strong Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture.
* Manage expenditure and cost recovery across assigned budgets.
* Provide high-level technical advice and input into strategic planning and progress reporting.

* Demonstrated knowledge of research, teaching and operational processes.
* Ability to manage teams with strong interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated high level organisational and decision-making skills.
* Experience in development and implementation of safety and risk management procedures.
