As a Contract Officer, you will provide analytical and administrative support to contract managers responsible for evaluating, monitoring and managing financial assistance arrangements between government and private businesses. You will contribute to assessing business performance, preparing financial and compliance reports, and ensuring contractual obligations are met in a transparent and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support contract managers with evaluation of private sector investment proposals and requests for government financial support.
* Assist with entity and financial checks, business analysis, and preparation of reports.
* Monitor and assess company performance against contractual obligations, including claims for milestone payments.
* Contribute to the development and administration of contract documentation and reporting systems.
* Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective contract outcomes.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
* Strong finance background with experience within contracts, grants and/or loans, highly regarded
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability to analyse problems, apply attention to detail, and make sound recommendations.
* Experience in preparing correspondence and reports for internal and external clients.
* Knowledge of business finance and financial management practices.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word).
* Ability to work collaboratively in a small team and independently with minimal supervision.
