About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, your duties will include ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees, maintaining payroll records, and addressing any inquiries or issues related to payroll. The position is located in Campbellfield / VIC and reports to the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities
* Process payroll for employees accurately and in a timely manner, including calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
* Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and management, providing timely and accurate responses.
* Prepare payroll reports and assist with financial audits as needed.
* Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
* Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field would be an advantage.
* Proven experience as a Junior Payroll Officer or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
* Positive understanding of payroll software - VISTA and MS Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
