Nurse Practitioner (Nurse Led Walk in Clinic)
As a Nurse Practitioner in the Gladstone Nurse-Led Walk-In Clinic, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering accessible, high-quality care for people presenting with acute injuries and illnesses. Working collaboratively with Clinical Nurses and Clinical Nurse Consultants, you'll provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and care coordination within a supportive, nurse-led model. You'll use your advanced skills in emergency or minor injury management—including suturing, fracture care and diagnostics—to make confident clinical decisions that enhance patient flow and outcomes. Supported by CQ Health's culture of innovation and learning, you'll lead quality improvement, mentor colleagues and help shape a new model of emergency care for our growing coastal community.

About us
The Nurse-Led Walk-In Clinic will provide assessment, treatment and advice to adults and children (aged over 2 years) for non-life-threatening injuries and illness, as well as trauma-informed, women-focused services. The service model aims to improve long-term health outcomes and improve access to care in the community, reducing demand on hospitals. Services will be provided free of charge.
About the role
Deliver advanced emergency and urgent care to adults and children.
Apply autonomous clinical judgement in acute presentations.
Perform minor injury and illness management including suturing and fracture care.
Collaborate with emergency, hospital and community teams for seamless patient flow.
Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and governance.
About you
You're an endorsed Nurse Practitioner with current NMBA registration and a relevant Master's degree.
You bring expertise in emergency, urgent or primary care, with advanced skills in minor injury management.
You demonstrate sound clinical judgement, autonomy, and a collaborative spirit.
You're passionate about mentoring others and improving patient outcomes.
You value innovation, teamwork, and compassionate care that makes a difference.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $140,366 p.a. is comprised of :
