In-Home Sales Consultant – Window Furnishings (Blinds, Awnings, Shutters & Drapery)
Watson Blinds & Awnings is growing our team in the Shoalhaven Region, supporting our store based in Nowra, while we are out and about with customers most of the week.
You will join a Retail Sales Team of experienced sales professionals in a growing company with 140+ people and room to grow/develop.
Position Overview:
The Sales Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling Watson Blinds & Awnings' full range of window furnishing products to residential customers.
This includes conducting in-home consultations, preparing accurate quotes, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from enquiry through to installation.
The role combines strong interpersonal skills with a practical understanding of interior design and product functionality.
The successful candidate will represent the Watson brand with professionalism, integrity, and a sense of pride.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-home consultations with customers to assess needs and provide tailored product advice.
Promote and sell Watson's range of blinds, shutters, awnings, and curtains/drapery.
Prepare accurate quotations and follow up on leads in a timely and professional manner.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Liaise with internal teams (showroom, scheduling, installation) to ensure smooth project delivery.
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and stay informed on new ranges and innovations.
Represent the company's values — Quality, Integrity, Ease, and Experience — in all interactions.
Achieve individual and team sales targets while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in sales (window furnishings or home improvement industry preferred).
Proven ability to close sales and meet or exceed targets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and time management.
Confident using digital tools for quoting and reporting (tablet or CRM systems).
A self-motivated professional with a customer-first mindset.
Must hold a current driver's licence and full working rights in Australia.
