The AWS Infrastructure Capacity Delivery team is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to support various Infrastructure programs/projects specifically focusing on capacity optimization. As our business is growing rapidly, we are aggressive expanding our Infrastructure footprint globally. At the same time, we are making great level of effort to drive efficiency in using our existing data center assets and optimize usage of capacity.
This role will focus on building a process and mechanism from identifying optimization opportunities in our data center infrastructure, validate, cost analysis, and drive the optimization program execution. Also this position will drive cycle time reduction of the program execution by streamlining process & communication between stakeholders and remove any blockers to execute faster. On this journey, you will need to work with various internal stakeholders including, engineering, service, finance, capacity planning and many other internal teams. Also this role will become a voice of APAC and influence future program development.
The location of this position is preferred be in Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore or Tokyo, while we can consider other locations within APAC where AWS infrastructure footprint is already exist.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
The TIPM will initiate programs/projects to improve our capacity utilization and drive the programs to be successfully completed. Each day you will interact with different teams responsible for engineering, data center operations, finance, business development. Develop dashboard/tools to update progress and report out the program status to the leadership regular basis.
- 7+ years of leading technical programs
- Proficient in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering, or similar engineering or technical product development
- Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection
- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
Experience in communicating and briefing senior executives
- Experience with program management methodologies
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, ambiguous work environment
