We're looking for a full-time Truck Driver to join our team servicing the Hunter region, with work based across
Newcastle, Muswellbrook and surrounding areas
.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you'll handle daily collections and deliveries of scrap metal bins using skip, hook or hiab trucks.
What You'll Be Doing
Pick up and deliver bins of scrap metal safely and on schedule
Follow your daily run sheet and keep in touch with the team about any site issues or delays
Check your truck and gear before and after each shift to keep everything running smoothly
Look out for safety hazards and report anything that doesn't look right
Work as part of a team that supports each other to get the job done safely and efficiently
Who We're Looking For
A current HR licence (minimum)
Experience operating skip bins, hook lift or hiab trucks (advantageous)
Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your daily schedule
Strong customer service skills – friendly, respectful and professional
Strong safety awareness and commitment to doing things right
A good attitude, reliable, easy to work with, and a solid team player
