Makeup Artist / Beauty Therapist - Hybrid Position
Makeup Artist / Beauty Therapist role at our brand new concept store, BeautyBar, located on High St, Armadale. BeautyBar blends three leading beauty brands into one destination.
About the Role
Deliver professional in-store beauty services while supporting retail operations. The hybrid role alternates between facial treatments, beauty consultations and supporting retail activations. Work 3‐4 shifts a week, including weekdays and weekends, with peak retail periods.
Role & Responsibilities
* Deliver expert, personalised facial treatments in a professional, welcoming environment.
* Provide beauty consultations and tailored product recommendations.
* Maintain high clinical and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with infection control and public health regulations.
* Support and assist with in-store activations, service appointments, and brand events.
* Engage customers on the retail floor, assist with product demos, and ensure visual merchandising excellence.
* Contribute to a collaborative team environment that values authenticity, initiative and continuous learning.
* Act as a brand ambassador and bring the BeautyBar experience to life.
Skills & Experience Required
* Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy (required).
* Minimum 1 year experience performing professional facial treatments in a retail or salon/spa environment.
* Brow & Lash experience is preferred.
* Strong understanding of infection control protocols, hygiene practices and public health regulations.
* Knowledge of facial equipment and tools including LED, oxygen, microdermabrasion and exfoliation devices.
* Prior experience in retail, ideally within the beauty, skincare or wellness sector.
* Warm, confident communicator who thrives in a fast‐paced, service‐driven environment.
* Professional personal presentation and genuine passion for beauty and wellness.
