Hybrid Linings South West is a dynamic construction firm specialising in interior and exterior construction packages – including ceilings, walls and external cladding. Based in Vasse, we service residential, commercial and industrial projects across the South West region. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, reliability, and efficient project delivery.
We are seeking experienced carpenters to join our team for a range of long‐term contracts through 2026. Positions are permanent with ongoing work and potential opportunities for sponsorship visas and supervisory roles.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Site installation of façade aluminium and CFC cladding on commercial buildings, drawing on extensive knowledge of solid panel, metal and cement sheet cladding.
* Preparing internal and external walls and ceilings for rendering and plastering, including cleaning, patching, levelling, straightening and applying bonding materials.
* Mixing and applying plaster, cement, render and similar coatings to structures using trowels and other trade tools.
* Plumbing and straightening corners, angles, wall surfaces and ceilings.
* Framing, set‐out and fixing.
* Actively contributing to toolbox meetings.
* Undertaking all aspects of the carpentry trade, including construction, installation and repair of new and existing structures.
* Committing to quality and safety procedures, identifying, reporting and rectifying any hazards.
* Site measuring, reading and interpreting plans.
* New Builds – primarily commercial with some residential work; cladding and re‐cladding of commercial buildings.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Ideally 3+ years' experience in the construction industry with Carpenter/Renderer/Solid Platerer qualifications or trade assistant experience; all candidates will be considered.
* Experience applying cement render, acrylic render, plaster and texture finishes.
* Ability to prepare, level, straighten and finish internal and external surfaces to trade standard.
* Good understanding of construction standards, connection details, build‐up and proper construction techniques specific to cladding work.
* Ability to work both in teams and independently; proactive, punctual, reliable and with a strong work ethic.
* Valid Class C driver's licence with your own transport capable of carrying tools and equipment.
* Must be able to pass pre‐employment medical, D&A and Police Check requirements.
* Construction white card (mandatory); EWP and Working at Heights tickets (desired).
* Approved carpentry apprenticeship – TAFE transcripts required for proof of level of study.
* Own basic hand and power tools.
* Passion for the trade and desire to grow with a rapidly expanding company upon completion of apprenticeship.
* Well presented and dedicated to learning new skills.
* Follow direction and instructions closely.
