You'll be instrumental in fostering strong relationships between the project team, community stakeholders, and the broader public.Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver strategic communication and engagement plans aligned with project milestones.
Lead and support public consultation initiatives to build trust and address community concerns.
Create compelling communications for a variety of platforms - including media releases, newsletters, social media and internal updates.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including contractors, project managers and government bodies.
Prepare high-quality materials including speeches, presentations and briefing notes.
Monitor media, public sentiment, and trends to inform communications strategy.
Manage crisis communications and implement swift issue resolution strategies.
Provide expert advice to senior leadership on communications and community engagement.
Evaluate communication outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement.
Mentor junior team members and promote a collaborative team culture.
Maintain compliance with all ethical, legal and organisational communication standards.
What We're Looking For: Minimum five years' experience in a communication and community engagement role, ideally in infrastructure, construction or government.
Strong writing, editing and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive and strategic approach with the ability to manage complex issues calmly and effectively.
Strong project management capabilities with the ability to balance competing priorities.
Proven experience delivering impactful communication and engagement outcomes.
IAP2 Certification or a willingness to obtain independently.
Desirable: Current Class C Driver's Licence.
Understanding of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia framework.
