Our client is a high profile reputable organisation. You will be working with a professional finance team and have the full support of a hands-on experienced Financial Controller. This is a unique opportunity for an assistant accountant who is keen to learn and develop and join a supportive finance team with a positive working environment
The role includes:
* Assist with timely and complete close of month and year end in accordance with agreed timeframes including preparation of journals and balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist with the maintenance of fixed asset register
* Assist with preparation of the audit file and reconciliation support information, liaising with auditors;
* Responsible for expense management, invoice & travel software
* Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
* BAS Returns
* Assist with Accounts Payable function
* Back up accounts supervisor and team where needed
Requirements for the role:
* Accounting degree and preferably studying towards CA or CPA
* Relevant accounting experience.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
