Head Barista (Full-time) – Karma Cafe & Fitness (Darwin, NT)
Karma Cafe & Fitness is a busy health and fitness café in Darwin, focused on quality coffee, great service, and a health-conscious menu.
* Hours: Full-time (38 hours/week)
* Salary: $75,000–$80,000 + super (depending on experience)

Key Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' relevant barista experience in a commercial café environment (senior/lead experience preferred)
* Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and supervise barista staff and maintain consistent standards
* Strong technical skills: espresso dial-in, grinder adjustment, extraction troubleshooting, milk texturing, speed and consistency in peak service
* Professional communication, strong customer service, and the ability to work effectively in a team
* Commitment to food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance
* Reliable and available for a rotating roster, including weekends/public holidays as required
Key Duties
* Lead daily coffee operations and beverage quality control
* Train and support barista team members and ensure procedures are followed
* Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of espresso machine(s), grinders, and coffee station
* Manage coffee-related stock control and ordering
* Develop new drinks for the menu, including weekly specials/seasonal beverages, and support recipe testing and consistency
