Your new role
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you'll be part of a small, supportive finance team delivering core financial operations across the organisation.
In this position, the Accounts Payable Officer will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments and reconciliations. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, providing responsive, client-focused finance support.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing and processing invoices, contracts and travel claims, managing vendor records, preparing payment runs, and supporting month-end activities. You'll also assist with journals, reconciliations, GST reporting and identifying opportunities to improve accounts payable processes.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful as an Accounts Payable Officer, you'll bring:
* Baseline security clearance
* Demonstrated experience in accounts payable or finance operations
* Experience processing invoices, journals and reconciliations
* Familiarity with financial management systems such as TechnologyOne or SAP
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills
* The ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or a related discipline (desirable)
