Join to apply for the Senior Youth Worker role at Queensland Government.2 x PERMANENT POSITIONSThe role of Senior Youth Worker is to provide supervision and support to young people who are subject to a youth justice intervention and support the Program Coordinator/Senior Transition Officer in the ongoing management of Youth Workers, including induction, assistance with performance management, and adherence to Workplace Health and Safety policies.Responsibilities include:Providing assistance to the Program Coordinator/Senior Transition Officer to ensure high-quality service delivery in line with legislative, departmental, and best practice standards.Developing weekly work rosters for young people under supervised orders and bail programs based on their service response plans.Negotiating with government and community agencies to improve access to services for young people, aligned with their case plans.Conducting safety audits and ensuring the availability and safety of equipment used in the Community Service Order Program.Delivering core program components, supporting youth and reinforcing the Service Response Plan.Supervising and supporting young people, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.Maintaining records and preparing reports for case planning and reviews.Providing coaching, mentoring, and development support to team members.Participating as a productive member of a multidisciplinary team involving internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrating cultural capability and commitment to cultural inclusivity to support departmental and community programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
