The role at a glance
As a Presales Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of technology, sales, and customer outcomes. You'll work closely with sales teams, partners, and customers to design security solutions that solve real-world problems – from initial discovery through to value validation.
You'll split your focus roughly 60/40 across WA and SA, engaging strategically with customers and partners across a large and opportunity-rich territory.
What you'll be doing
* Partnering with sales to drive new business and expand existing accounts
* Leading technical discovery and solution design for enterprise and mid-market customers
* Delivering compelling solution demonstrations and technical workshops
* Running Proof-of-Value engagements and technical evaluations
* Acting as a trusted advisor to customers and partners on modern cyber security architecture
* Supporting RFPs, RFIs, and complex bids
* Enabling partners on new technologies and solution positioning
* Representing the business at industry and cyber security events
* Staying across emerging threats, trends, and technologies
What we're looking for
You're not just technical – you're commercially curious, customer-focused, and motivated by growth. Ideally, you'll bring:
* 3–5+ years' experience in presales, sales engineering, or security consulting
* Background in network security, networking, cloud, or endpoint security
* Experience from a cyber security vendor, MSP, SI, or enterprise IT environment
* Strong communication and presentation skills - you can hold a room
* Confidence working with partners and enterprise customers
* A "hunter" mindset – excited by uncovering new opportunities and winning deals
* Ability to design end-to-end security solutions across complex environments
Certifications are a plus, and support is available for further certifications and industry qualifications.
