Job Title: Structures Inspector - Rail Sector
We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic Structures Inspector with experience in the rail sector to join our Newcastle-based team.
Responsibilities
This role reports to our Team Leader in the Rail Infrastructure Management Services Group and involves:
* Providing unbiased and independent advice to clients on a rostered system
* Undertaking Visual Structures Inspections
* Identification and assessment of defects
* Advising on repair scope and methods
* Commitment to continual improvement and introduction of new technology
The Expertise You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure (TLI21311)
* Certificate III in Rail Structures (TLI32111) or 7 years relevant experience with steel, concrete, masonry and/or timber materials
* The following additional units of competency:
o TLIB3087A Examine Timber Structures
o TLIB3088A Examine Steel Structures
o TLIB3098A Examine Concrete / Masonry Structures
o Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
o First Aid Certificate
* Proven ability to inspect and assess defects and recommend maintenance scopes
* Fundamental understanding of rail industry standards
* Ability to work independently and self-manage time according to rosters and planned work
* Willingness to travel for short or extended periods
* Strong level of technology application skills
* Commitment to producing high-quality work and ethical behaviour
* Strong interpersonal skills and practical problem-solving approach
