The Role
We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a dynamic Key Account Manager to join our Patient Support Services team based in NSW. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will work as an integral member of the team driving revenue growth and profitability across all assigned accounts new and existing. In this role you will use your effective territory leadership skills to implement sales strategies through development of new business and maintaining existing business while improving market presence of our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Negotiate price within defined schedules and guidelines as required
2. Attend corporate events as required including meetings and conferences
3. Resolve customer complaints as soon as possible and liaise with Management, Customer Service and Field Service to ensure customer satisfaction for every order
4. Support and participate in sales promotions and marketing activities as required
5. Train appropriate hospital staff and company employees on new products. In consultation with the product manager to ensure customers and prospective customers are technically proficient through in-service presentations, one-on-one training, peer education and supply of information.
6. Actively participate in the clinical environment by providing technical consultation as required
7. Practice excellent territory management in terms of salesforce, organisation, administration & expense planning and control.
8. Ensure the CRM is kept updated to ensure effective reporting
9. Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the relevant Work Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation.
Key Requirements of the role include:
10. Tertiary degree in Medical Science, Healthcare, Business, Management or related fields
11. 3-5 years’ experience working in a commercial/sales role within the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry is desirable
12. Knowledge and application of effective selling skills, including value added selling techniques and Key Account Management is preferred
13. Solid understanding or the Hospital and Healthcare system
14. Highly developed interpersonal effectiveness and relationship-building abilities
15. Accountable for achieving targets and delivering outstanding customer service
16. Collaborative approach and ability to work well with others
17. Willingness to travel interstate as required.
