Legislation Development Specialist
This role is responsible for leading the development of legislation, with a focus on current levy recipient body legislation. The Legislation Development Specialist will review existing legislation and historical levies policies to inform the new legislative framework.
* Liaise with policy, regulatory, and operational areas within the department and across government.
* Manage industry consultation processes and incorporate feedback into the legislative drafting process.
The successful candidate will have strong research and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork abilities. They will be able to provide sound advice on complex matters to executives and ministers.
Requirements:
* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, including remote workers.
* Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
* Experience working in legal policy/legislative reform roles, including research, preparing drafting instructions, policy papers, briefing material, and analytical reporting.
* Experience in policy processes, ideally with experience in industry consultation.
