**The successful applicant must**:
- be a qualified primary teacher and be able to demonstrate a suitable tertiary qualification in primary teaching
- be willing to be involved in all aspects of the School's Teaching, Learning and Caring program
- possess an agile, creative and solutions focused mindset
- possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact with both adults and students
- have high level communication skills
- be able to work independently but also as part of a dynamic, and collaborative team
- be willing to engage actively in research, either independently or in a team, as a member of the Junior School's Professional Learning Teams
- possess an interest/understanding of the Reggio Emilia Educational Project
- have an understanding of transdisciplinary, inquiry
- based approaches to teaching and learning
- have a strong understanding of how to plan for and deliver a differentiated program
- have experience working with students with additional learning needs and possess skills in modifying curriculum to meet the individual needs of students
- demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to following the School's child safety expectations, principles and policies
- hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
