About the Role
Due to our continued growth, Piper Alderman is seeking a talented Senior Associate – Special Counsel with 5+ years' post‐qualification experience to join our Commercial group. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial and property‐related work nationally.
Key Responsibilities
* Draft, review and negotiate property agreements for commercial, rural, and residential contracts
* Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions and sales
* Advise clients on legal aspects of commercial real‐estate transactions
* Development and strata titling, Body Corporate & Community Management advice
* Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of property and commercial transactions
* Mentor and coach junior employees
Qualifications and Experience
* 5+ years' PQE with experience in commercial property
* Strong understanding of property law, conveyancing, and lease agreements across commercial, residential, and rural sectors
* Excellent contract drafting and analytical thinking
* Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and delivering high‐quality outcomes for clients
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A strong work ethic and ability to manage competing priorities
* Team player with a supportive and collaborative working style
* Self‐motivated with a "can‐do" attitude and eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper Alderman
