About the Role
Delivering strong commercial outcomes is critical to Carrington's success. As a Senior Civil Contract Administrator, you'll take ownership of contractual and financial matters on a broad variety of Utility and Civil projects. You'll manage contracts, supplier agreements ensuring compliance and driving commercial performance. This is a key role where your expertise will shape project and commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain contract and risk strategies
* Lead tendering, negotiation, and formation of subcontracts
* Execute subcontracting strategy aligned with project budgets
* Prepare and manage variations, and dispute resolutions
* Provide commercial and contract advice to operational teams
* Participate in risk and opportunity reviews and progress meetings
* Forecast final cost positions and support cost control processes
What you'll bring:
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, finance, accounting, legal, or business (preferred)
* 5+ years' experience in engineering and construction, including contracts roles
* Proven track record managing contracts on a variety of civil or utility projects
* Sound experience in risk management and performance delivery
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
