Walara is currently seeking to employ a fulltime Finance Manager and Accountant. This not-for-profit community based organisation is growing its residential aged care, retirement living and support at home services and these roles provide an opportunity to use your professional skills in an end to end team environment.

The Finance Manager, reporting to the Director of Finance, will take direct responsibility for financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting and forecasting, management reporting, project analysis, cashflow, policy and compliance matters. The role will contribute to business and financial systems improvement and innovation and you will lead a small team of accountants and the payroll function, with support from our operational payables and receivables team.
Experience in the aged care sector is desirable, but more importantly a demonstrated curiosity to learn, combined with professional verbal and written communication skills.
High level expertise in Excel combined with experience in optimising financial platform capabilities and integration.
Tertiary qualification in accounting plus CA or CPA required.

The Accountant, working directly with and reporting to the Finance Manager, will support the Finance team in delivering accurate, timely and compliant financial information. This role will provide exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, accounts processing, audit preparation and analytical work.
Proficiency in excel and tertiary qualification in accounting required.
