The company established itself as a market leader and a preferred choice for many Contractors, Architects, Distributors and industries partners Duties and Responsibilities of Chemistyry Technician Laboratory Support : Prepare chemical materials for experiments and collect all information, samples, mixing chemicals details Conduct tests in a laboratory environment using standard chemical techniques, equipment and analyses (e.g., Dial reading viscometer, ph meter, mixing and blending equipment, grind gauge). Making record of results (reports, charts, graphs), calculations and all measurements of material used, time taken. Maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly. Follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory environment. Quality Control and Testing : Perform routine quality control tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished waterproofing products to ensure they meet technical specifications and quality standards. Analyze physical and chemical properties of materials (e.g., viscosity, tensile strength, solid content, adhesion, water resistance). Record and analyze test results, prepare reports, and recommend adjustments to improve product quality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product consistency and performance during production. Controlling the quality and quantity of laboratory supplies by testing samples and monitoring usage Production Support : Support the manufacturing process by ensuring that the correct materials and chemical processes are used during production. Work closely with the production team to address any chemical-related issues that arise during manufacturing. Assist in troubleshooting any production problems that involve material chemistry or formulation inconsistencies. · Checking, calibrating and maintaining test equipment. Fabricating, installing and modifying equipment to ensure that critical standards are met Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of all testing, formulations, and production activities. Prepare reports on product performance and testing outcomes for management and regulatory bodies. Research and Product Improvement : Assist in evaluating new chemicals or additives that may improve product performance, reduce costs, or expand the product line. Contribute to the testing of new raw materials and evaluate their impact on product quality and cost. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to meet production goals. Preparing experiments and demonstrations for science classes Inventory Management: Assist with the inventory of laboratory chemicals and materials, ensuring stock levels are maintained and that materials are properly stored. Monitor expiration dates for chemicals and raw materials and notify the appropriate personnel of any approaching expirations or shortages. Safety Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to the handling of chemicals and laboratory equipment. Ensure that all safety protocols are adhered to in the lab, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper disposal of chemical waste.
