RAYA GSP Pty Ltd t/a Quarter Deck is a popular waterfront restaurant located in Mooloolaba, Queensland. We are known for our delicious menu and stunning views of the ocean. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional food and service to our guests, making us a top choice for breakfast in the area.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The Head Chef will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high-quality food is consistently delivered to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and creativity, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
* Create and update menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
* Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
* Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
* Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
* Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality
* Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
* Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards
* Conduct regular kitchen inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization
* Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu items
* Handle any customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications
* Previous minimum 3 yearsexperience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant
* Culinary degree or at least Certificate IV in Commercial cookery orequivalent
* Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Creative and innovative approach to food and menu development
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
* Valid food handling and safety certification

Salary Package

$75,000 - $80,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
