Climate Control Specialist
The role involves ensuring the optimal performance of air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems and controlled temperature environments installed throughout Defence buildings, structures, and infrastructure in Katherine.
This is a permanent full-time position with competitive rates, allowances plus vehicle-related benefits to be discussed on application.
The position is open to candidates based in Katherine or those willing to relocate under a Defence Industry Delegate Opportunity (DIDO) arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct preventative maintenance, repairs and installations on climate control and refrigeration systems
* Diagnose faults and ensure systems operate efficiently
* Monitor and adjust system controls
* Respond to emergency repairs when required
* Maintain accurate service and repair records
* Work safely and collaboratively with other trades
Requirements:
* A current Australian Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification (Cert III Air Con & Refrigeration)
* Experience with chilled water systems, chillers, AHUs and BMS
* Strong diagnostic and repair capability
* ArcTick Refrigerant Handling Licence
* Restricted or Open Electrical Licence
* Valid driver's licence
* Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
