We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill a key role in promoting heart health among First Nations people in South Australia.
This challenging position involves developing and delivering culturally appropriate education and training resources, as well as engaging with and fostering strong connections with communities and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in program planning and management, community development, and working with First Nations communities.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering the First Nations Heart Health Project South Australia project, preparing and delivering reports, and working collaboratively across internal functions and with external stakeholders. A demonstrated understanding of issues related to First Nations health, cultural sensitivity, and a consultative approach that promotes participation and collaboration are essential.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Experience in a health-related field or equivalent.
* Knowledge or experience in community development or health-related fields, lived experience would be advantageous.
* Demonstrated program and project planning and management.
* Understanding of issues, enablers and barriers relating to First Nations Health - experience in working to address equity and promote self-determination for First Nations communities.
* Demonstrated cultural understanding and sensitivity with experience of working directly with First Nations communities.
* Ability to travel to communities across South Australia, with potential interstate travel.
