Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist
This is a school-based role where you will work closely with the Aspect Hunter School's Learning Support Team to achieve the best outcomes for students at the Port Macquarie Aspect School sites.
As an Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist, your main responsibilities will include:
* Providing therapy services to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities
* Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals
* Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and needs
* Creating and maintaining accurate records of student progress and treatment plans
You will also be responsible for:
* Collaborating with the Learning Support Team to develop and implement strategies to support students with complex needs
* Providing professional development opportunities to staff on aspects of autism and disability
* Participating in regular team meetings to discuss student progress and share best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology
* Registration with AHPRA or membership of Speech Pathology Australia
* Current driver's license and use of own vehicle for business purposes (reimbursed per km)
* Ability to travel across Port Macquarie and occasionally to the Aspect Hunter School main campus (Thornton, NSW)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
* Working with Children Check for paid employment for the state you reside in
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' certificate
