Do you have experience in civil construction and an interest in local government? The City of West Torrens is seeking motivated, experienced Civil Workers to join our dedicated team, working on the maintenance and construction of vital Council infrastructure that benefits our community every day.
* Permanent full-time roles (multiple positions available)
* Salary level: $78,767 (CWT4), $81,586 (CWT5) or $84,779 (CWT6) per annum (FTE) plus superannuation – level determined by qualifications and/or experience
* 9‐day fortnight

What you'll bring to the team
Our civil workers bring a range of skills to the team. We are looking for applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Roadside and reserve furniture maintenance
* Minor storm water drainage activities
* General labouring
* Line marking
* Regulatory sign installations
* Playground inspections
* Minor repairs on structures such as playgrounds, bus stops, bins, picnic shelters and fencing
* Road maintenance and construction, including road reinstatement
* Block paving and minor concrete works to footpaths, pram ramps, kerbs and watertables
About you
* Be physically capable and willing to undertake manual work
* Have good communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Be a dependable, motivated team player
* Demonstrate a high commitment to safety, both for yourself and your colleagues
* Hold, as a minimum, a Certificate III in Civil Construction (or a relevant field) or relevant experience
* Hold a Class MR driver's licence (as a minimum)
In addition, a National Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue) will be required as part of the recruitment process.
