Project Manager
We are seeking an accomplished project manager to oversee the delivery of construction projects across Melbourne. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of expertise in project management, commercial acumen, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage construction programs, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
* Maintain regular cost forecasts and implement robust cost controls/reporting for allocated projects.
* Provide project progress updates and conduct weekly meetings with stakeholders.
* Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure project alignment with program objectives.
* Analyze and resolve subcontractor claims and variations.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) requirements.
* Cultivate a collaborative environment among direct labour and subcontractors.
* Offer expert advice on technical and engineering issues.
* Contribute to tendering and estimation processes.
* Develop and maintain integrated toolboxes (ITPs) and site work method statements (SWMS).
* Manage and track requests for information (RFIs) and responses.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, managing facade replacement and heritage projects.
* In-depth understanding and appreciation for heritage building conservation.
* Proven leadership skills and ability to influence and develop stakeholder relationships.
* Strong focus on safety, with a high level of understanding and appreciation.
* Commercial acumen and programming/planning skills.
* Contract awareness and cost tracking experience.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to think creatively.
* Detailed attention to deadlines and prioritization of tasks.
