Join to apply for the Physiotherapist role at Healthscope. Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking a Physiotherapist to join our team on a Part‑time basis with shifts primarily on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with occasional weekend shifts.
We are a 189‑bed acute, private hospital facility located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park.
Your Responsibilities
* Providing comprehensive physiotherapy services to acute surgical inpatients, including orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiac and neurosurgery.
* Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning and evidence‑based practice.
* Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department.
* Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people.
* Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services.
* Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students.
Essential Criteria
* Hold a Bachelor in Physiotherapy.
* Current AHPRA Registration.
* Minimum 12 months experience in an acute hospital environment.
* Excellent clinical practice skills to manage a high acuity caseload.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent organisation and time‑management skills.
* Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork.
Desirable Criteria
* Proven experience in ICU & high acuity surgical settings.
