Offer description

Working as part of of the Pharmacy clinical trials team, at both Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville sites, to support the running of clinical trials involving medications. This role involves working with teams both inside and outside of pharmacy to ensure that clinical trials are run safely and efficiently within Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.

Job responsibilities

This is a cross site role involving working with the pharmacy team and the research and innovation team to run trials at BHT.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Registered with GPHC
* Formal GCP training with current certification


Experience

* Registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Accredited Checker (or willing to undertake the course and to be completed within one year of the appointment)
* Writing Standard Operating Procedures
* Hospital experience
* Clinical Trials experience


Skills and knowledge

* Communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner (written)
* Able to work to deadlines
* Work on own initiative and be capable of making decisions.
* Recognise limits of own competencies and when to refer and seek advice from colleagues.
* Able to supervise and train others
* Identify the need for SOPs and assist in preparation and implementation of SOPs
* Organise tasks efficiently and delegate appropriately.
* Forward thinking and able to develop new ideas
* Able to recognise and communicate need for change and be able to participate in change management processes.


SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

* Willingness to adapt to special requirements i.e. handling of cytotoxic drugs
