Deliver an advanced level of client care, technical expertise and leadership in mammographic screening and assessment services provided by BreastScreen Queensland, Gold Coast service.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Radiographer - Senior (BreastScreen) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Deliver advanced level screening and assessment across all service sites
* Regularly participate in assessment clinics, including biopsy procedures, providing support, advice and a high standard of care
* Provide supervision, coaching and quality assurance support to junior and technical staff
* Maintain imaging equipment and resolve technical issues promptly
* Contribute to clinics, client care, documentation and multidisciplinary practice
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Tertiary degree as a Radiographer
* Possession of a Certificate of Mammographic Practice
* Radiation Use Licence issued by Radiation Health Queensland
* AHPRA Registration
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Driver Licence
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

* Permanent part time
* Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.56 per hour
About Us
BreastScreen Queensland, Gold Coast Service is part of the National Breast Screening Program, providing breast cancer screening services to eligible women within the Gold Coast City Council and BreastScreen catchment area.
The purpose of the program is to reduce mortality and morbidity of breast cancer in women over 40, with the specific target group being women between 50 and 74. The service currently has four static sites and seven sites serviced in rotation by our mobile van. Future expansion to the service is planned.
