Northrop's Melbourne Sustainability team approaches every project as an opportunity for improving the health and vitality of ecological, social and economic systems.
We have an opening for a Undergraduate Sustainability Consultant position that will provide an opportunity to get involved in supporting sustainable building and precinct projects across Australia.Who are we?

We consider taking actions on climate to be an imperative and core responsibility for our people, and we are developing knowledge and skills across the four focus areas of Water, Energy, Materials, and Habitat to achieve this goal.The impact you'll have:Contributing towards the development of regenerative strategies for a wide range of clientsConducting technical analyses to determine the opportunity for science-based and market leading outcomes for energy, carbon, water, health and natureHelping project teams understand and be accountable for meeting targeted benchmarks in support of third-party certifications like Green Star Buildings and Communities, Passive House and Living Building ChallengeDemonstrating compliance with sustainability frameworks, guidelines and standardsResearching best practices for building, precinct and infrastructure projectsConducting building simulation modelling to test and evolve ideas that improve building performance (e.g. operational energy/carbon, daylight, water balance, lifecycle assessment, thermal comfort etc).
Contributing positively to building our relationships with project teams and clientsParticipating in industry events that encourage deeper conversations about regenerative designDelivering projects across the commercial / industrial / residential / retail / healthcare sectors in a quality, cost effective and efficient manner.About You:Education / Qualifications: In your third or final year of study for a relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.Passion: Energised by the opportunity to challenge convention and foster innovationTeamwork: Works collaboratively with others including across functional groups and other disciplines within Northrop.Accountability: Sets goals and drives to their fulfilment.Communication: Able to speak and write clearly, concisely, and compellingly.
