Jako Industries is an established West Australian owned and operated HVAC contractor based in Jandakot. Our services are delivered in a diverse range of environments including commercial developments; local government / community buildings; telecommunications sites; defence bases; industrial facilities; aviation facilities; hospitals and academic institutions.
We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians to carry out maintenance, repairs, installations, and small upgrade works.
Required
Relevant trade (Refrigeration and Air-conditioning) qualifications.
Technical background in commercial HVAC and refrigeration.
Relevant ARC and restricted electrical licence.
Excellent communication skills and customer service.
Ability to work well within a team environment and individually as required.
Willingness to mentor other employees including apprentices.
Current Police Clearance.
Tasks
Establish job requirements from drawings and specifications, lay out installation reference points.
Drill holes, install mounting brackets and cut, bend and thread piping.
Install and repair components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil and chilled water.
Bolt, solder, rivet, weld and braze pipes to connect equipment, and check alignment and accuracy of fit.
Fill systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks.
Test-operate refrigeration systems, check mechanisms and adjust.
Remove test gas and fluid using vacuum pumps and fill with refrigerant.
Check and overhaul refrigeration systems, diagnose faults and repair and replace defective components.
Adjust system controls and mechanisms and reassemble systems.
Recording causes of malfunctioning and action taken.
