BOSS Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our high-performing team, driving innovation across our manufacturing and project operations.
You'll play a key role in designing and optimising mechanical systems, equipment, and plant layouts to improve performance, safety, and productivity. Working closely with our production and project teams, you'll apply practical engineering knowledge to deliver real results in the field and on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
* Study functional statements, organisational charts, and project information to determine roles, responsibilities, and potential process duplication.
* Establish work measurement programs and analyse work samples to develop standards for labour utilisation.
* Analyse workforce use, facility layout, operational data, production schedules, and cost drivers to achieve optimal efficiency.
* Design and develop mechanical equipment, machines, components, and systems for manufacture and construction.
* Prepare technical specifications and determine materials, equipment, piping, and plant layout requirements.
* Plan and manage project labour, materials, and equipment delivery to meet deadlines and quality standards.
* Establish and maintain standards and policies for installation, quality control, testing, and maintenance in line with engineering and safety regulations.
* Inspect and maintain plant performance to ensure operational reliability.
* Coordinate maintenance of plant and buildings, and manage requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
* Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
* Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in manufacturing, agricultural, or mechanical design environments.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A proactive, hands-on approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
