We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to represent Stuba in South Australia.

As our BDM for the region, you'll be responsible for driving growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing trade partners. This full-time hybrid role combines on-site engagement across Adelaide and South Australia with remote work flexibility.

You'll play a key role in delivering tailored solutions, supporting travel partners, attending industry events, and collaborating closely with colleagues to achieve targets and expand Stuba's market presence.

As the face of Stuba, you'll build lasting partnerships with travel agents and tour operators, identifying new opportunities and strategic development plans for existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and grow Stuba's network of travel trade partners in South Australia.
* Maintain ongoing communication with travel agents to promote Stuba products, conduct training, and gather feedback.
* Use initiative and market insight to strengthen Stuba's brand, making hotel and transfer bookings easier for our partners.
* Focus on mutual business growth and partner success.

Qualifications

* Minimum 4 years' experience in sales, business development, or account management within the travel industry.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
* Proven skills in strategic planning, market analysis, and identifying growth opportunities.
* Proficiency with digital tools, CRM systems, and platforms used in the travel and accommodation sector.
* Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
* Excellent organisation and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of the South Australian travel market and an established network are highly advantageous.

Essential Experience & Skills

* Proven on-the-road sales experience within the travel industry.
* Ambitious, results-driven, and motivated to succeed.
* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with emotional intelligence.
* Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* High attention to detail across all aspects of sales performance.
* Ability to perform under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
* Capable of building effective internal and external relationships.
* Analytical mindset to identify new business opportunities.
* Tech-savvy with strong MS Office, CRM, and online booking system experience.
* Strong understanding of the Australian retail travel landscape.

Work Environment

* Home-based role; typically four days on the road and one admin day per week.
* Must have own vehicle.
* 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with occasional evening/weekend work as required).
* Frequent travel within Australia, and possible international travel.

Remuneration & Benefits

* Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) + superannuation.
* 4 weeks / 20 days annual leave.
