Part-Time Nanny Glen Iris, VIC
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Term: Minimum 12 months, with the hope of continuing until the children reach school age
Pay: $40 per hour depending on experience
A lovely family based in Glen Iris, VIC is seeking a warm, kind and gentle nanny to support their two young children (Aged 4yrs and 17 months) in a long-term role. This position would suit someone who genuinely enjoys working with toddlers and young children and is looking for consistency and longevity with a family.
Days and Hours
2 Afternoons and 1 full day per week
* Tuesday: 2:30 pm 7:30 pm
* Wednesday: 2:30 pm 7:30 pm
* Friday: 7:30 am 7:30 pm
The nanny will provide after-school and full-day care across the week, supporting routines, play, meals and bedtime preparation. Care will involve school and daycare pickups, engaging the children in play, and assisting with light household tasks related to the children.
Typical Week
Tuesday Wednesday:
* Pick up the eldest child from kindergarten
* Walk or drive to collect the youngest from childcare
* Afternoon snack and playtime
* Serve dinner and begin evening routine
* Parents arrive home around 6:30 7:00 pm to assist or take over bedtime
* Clean up kitchen/dinner area before finishing at 7:30 pm
Friday:
* Morning kindergarten drop-off for the eldest child
* Daytime care for the youngest including play at home, park or library outings
* Morning snack, nap (approx. 11:00 am 1:00 pm) and lunch
* Afternoon playtime
* Kindergarten pick-up for the eldest child
* Afternoon and evening routine as per Tuesday/Wednesday
Responsibilities
* School and daycare pickups and drop-offs
* Driving the children to and from activities
* Preparing and serving afternoon snacks
* Heating and assembling pre-prepared dinners
* Supporting evening routines including bath time and bedtime preparation
* Age-appropriate play and engagement
* Light household support during nap times, including:
* Laundry related to the children
* Unpacking the dishwasher
* Tidying play areas
* Putting children s clothes away

Requirements
* 3+ years experience working with similar age children as a nanny or a childcare setting
* Full Driver s licence and own reliable car (essential) - kms and petrol to be reimbursed
* Childcare qualifications preferred
* Valid Working with Children s Check
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Comfortable with a family cat
