Ashurst Reach is the firm's dedicated flexible legal resourcing platform which provides the firm's clients and Practice Groups within the firm with access to a high quality talent pool of lawyers and paralegals. We understand that our clients need access to highly qualified lawyers and paralegals, often at short notice and/or for short periods, whether that be to meet internal client demands, backfill leave, provide cover during recruitment or to assist with specialised projects. We deliver a seamless, fast and trusted solution to these issues.
Ashurst Reach is an integral part of the firm's NewLaw division, Ashurst Advance. Our focus is solving our clients' business problems through optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness and digitally innovative legal service delivery.
The Opportunity:
* 6 month contract (minimum period)
* Full-time or part-time (ideally 3 days minimum)
* Melbourne based but we will consider lawyers based elsewhere in Australia, on a remote basis
* This is an opportunity to join one of Australia and New Zealand's largest construction companies and work on an exciting breadth and range of commercial and residential projects
* Build your portfolio legal career with this well-known and highly regarded company
Skills and Experience needed:
* Front end construction law - you must be confident dealing with different types of construction contracts
* Projects/PPP experience will be highly valuable, but is not essential
* A minimum of 8 years' experience
* Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders
* Project management skills highly regarded
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A commercial, can do attitude with an ability to integrate into a team and build relationships quickly
* The ability to rapidly understand and adapt to the needs of the business
* A current practising certificate (or the ability to get one immediately)
